Flying

Mon, 10/16/2006 - 12:00
Hi Everyone, I just returned from a flight to Texas last night and wanted to ask if anyone had experienced any difficulty during pressure changes or turbulance in thier flight. I experienced 3 SPS and a panic attack yesterday. I have never had any difficulty before and I would like to understand what was happening. After we got out of the turbulance and at the flying altitude I didn't have any problems the rest of the flight. I have noticed my startle reflex and anxiety has increased 3 fold since starting on the Keppra. Would love some feedback. Thanks

How can you tell the differance between a seizure and panic attack.....I black out during my panic attacks and its happened twice on flights...once over the atlantic going to europe and another prior to takeoff....ie just the thought of the flight caused anxiety/panic and then black out.......ive had many successful flight before and after but now i dont really fly much anyore.....

I haven't had any problems with that. Although the Doctor did advise me to take some Xanax before my flights. I do get panic attacks every so often, However flying doesn't usually bother me. I would say you might want to talk to the Doctor about the Keppra...it may be a side effect. I personally have never been on that med. Best of luck to you. Dayna
