Epilepsy Foundation Mississippi

Over 35,700 People in Mississippi are Living with Epilepsy
The Epilepsy Foundation Mississippi provides programs and services that support people and families impacted by epilepsy. With the strength of a national organization and network of epilepsy experts, EFMS provides national scope and local impact.
From ground breaking research to SUDEP support, local educational programs and a 24/7 Helpline, Epilepsy Foundation Mississippi is here to serve you.
Chartered as the Mississippi Council on Epilepsy on April 8, 1963, EF Mississippi is one of the oldest non-profits in the state of Mississippi. The Council became an affiliate of the Epilepsy Foundation of American on December 10, 1970, and changed its name to the Epilepsy Foundation of Mississippi to become analogous with the national organization in 1982.
We are leading the fight to END EPILEPSY® in Mississippi by supporting and mobilizing the epilepsy community through educational activities, direct services, advocacy, as well as research to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. The Foundation also seeks to educate the general public to better understand epilepsy and seizure disorders, including knowing proper seizure first aid.
