What would happen if you had

What would happen if you had a seizure when you were with them? Would they know what to do? Would they freak out? Do they know someone with diabetes? What you do not understand is that epilepsy is a blind ailment. One that people do not see until the person has a seizure. A heart ailment (there are several of them) or diabetes Parkinson's and other ailments all can not be seen. So if they know someone with any of those then ask them why they  wouldn't accept you with your ailment. Believe me I had many different people back away from me because they saw me in a seizure. I also had many stay. Had some come back and start asking questions. those that stayed and came back were better friends.

Im 14 (15 in 5 days) but that is always the first thing i mention when i meet people. I'll be like "hey, i'm jocelyn." and after we start talking i later add in "also i have childhood epilepsy." . Girl never be afraid to tell anyone you have epilepsy, its a serious thing. I hope that helps. :)

Hi, im 18 and i was diagnosed

Hi, im 18 and i was diagnosed at 15 (4 months before 16). I was very nervous of telling my friends at school, but I had to for my safety in case i had a seizure in class. And to my surprise a girl that i talked to everyday had the same condition as me. We became better friends after that. You never know what will happen, and if youre friends truly care about you they would want to know and help you in any way. you need that support system in your life. I was gathered all my friends (4-5) at once and just said it was something serious about my health, but non life threatening.
