Can my seizures be related to a surgery?

Thu, 09/21/2017 - 19:15
I am a 32 year old male who has lived a pretty healthy life without seizures up until I received an inguinal hernia operation. I had complications after having the surgery done, with the mention that there was an infection inside. This was not something that was due to me or my care of the surgery but what had happened during the surgery. I started having seizures after this and had never suffered from a seizure disorder prior to. I have sought out neurologists and drs to follow up with results that i am not epileptic nor do I have a seizure disorder. Just random seizures keep happening. I did get shingles due to the surgery and that is relative to neurological problems.

if you had an infection in

if you had an infection in your brain, that's a cause of some seizures. did the do a lumbar puncture to test your csf for signs of infection? treatments for inflammation  can help control seizures in some cases so there is a lot of complex things that contribute to seizures.it's also quite possible to just be a coincidence, without surgery seizures could have started anyway. there are often situations where a person's head gets some mild damage and years later seizures start.
