Switching to generic Depakote

Fri, 12/14/2018 - 19:30
I have been taking 1,500 mg of Depakote ER for several years now and have been seizure free. However, my employer is having issues with my insurance, and at the moment, I am not covered. I only have one week left of my Depakote. My doctor prescribed generic Depakote ER. I am worried that after going so long with the name brand, a sudden switch to generic is going to bring back my issues. I used to have mychlonic (spelling?) jerks, and only had a few grand mals. Has anyone else safely made the switch to generic depakote without any issues? Thanks.

No, they are virtually the same the differences are so minor that you will not notice. However I urge to take precaution in form of caffeine reduction stress and stimulant reduction.
