What Kind of Seizures Am I Having?

Mon, 06/18/2018 - 22:23
Hi- I'm an old guy (65) and for a couple of months now, I have multiple incidents of seizure-like activity every night. My personal physician thought it might have come from taking the antidepressant Wellbutrin. Tests haven't given any clear answers yet, though an ambulatory EEG in a few days should help. Just from researching on the Internet, it seems like Myoclonic seizures - they only happen when in a "sleepy state" at night (probably stage 1 or 2), they can involve one leg, two, or occasionally my arms and head. I never lose consciousness nor am I disoriented (I'm sleepy and annoyed, though!). I've posted a video you can check out - and PLEASE don't be offended that I've added some tongue-in-cheek music with it (the old rock classic, "Shakin' all Over." I take epilepsy VERY seriously - both my wife and daughter have it - but I'm trying to keep a sense of humor about my own condition to keep from panicking. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crpS0ECtx_s Any thoughts, questions, or insights will be very welcome and I thank you in advance.

most people do not know that humor eases stress. But a person can laugh and still be serious. My brother said spaz attack was faster to say the epileptic seizure. Fewer letters and the wording is easy.

you can be having several

you can be having several different seizures If they are only when you sleep then they could be termed nocturnal epilepsy and seizures..
