Exercise recovery and focal seizures

Mon, 09/10/2018 - 05:41
Hi, I'm hoping others are experiencing a similar issue to me as doctors don't seem to have any idea or answers. They seem to just want to play around with my medication. I am able to exercise with no issues at all with my epilepsy, but the next day if I have muscle soreness I end up having auras/parital seizures. It's really frustrating as two years ago I was able to exercise and have muscle soreness the next day and my epilepsy didn't react at all. My lifestyle hasn't changed, so I'm wondering if it's because I'm 40 and hormone levels might be changing? I'd love to know if anyone (no matter what age or gender) has seizures when their muscles are recovering from exercise and if they have found anything that helps or any reason as to why it happens? From my research I've read that exercise increases cortisol levels and decreases DHEA levels, but I can't really find anything going to deep into it. I'm hoping someone else has similar issues as I feel very alone with it. Thanks Jennette
