New Jersey DMV

I ran into a situation that pertained to our DMV of NJ because of my seizure. I had a grand mal seizure on Oct 9th '06 after being free of seizer's for over 20 years. I found out that the Dr has to report to the DMV that I had a seizer and NJ DMV suspends our licences for a year (well you have to be seizer free for a full year) Has anyone else ran into this? If so, what was their options??

Your dog shouldn't be driving anyway. :D You have a cute doggie. Here in Missouri it isn't required that the doctor report you. I don't think there is a way to get around the suspension if it has happened. Good Luck, Emily

After looking over the law it seems that there is a way to get the year suspension shortened. http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org/answerplace/Social/driving/statedrivinglaws.cfm?state=NJ
