Having epilepsy causes perimenapause to come earlier. Sometimes the seizures can get worse or better. I take natural progesterone cream for the side effects from perimenapause and it can help sometimes with seizures. take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EpilepsyApproach/

Jill, Well as I said, because we have epilepsy, peri-menapause comes earlier. I know it is about mid 30....peri-menapause starts. I go from my mom. My mom didnt go through it till 57 which is very late. My sisters are 57 and 58 and still didnt start. My sister and I who have epilepsy we both started 43. My friend who has epilepsy said her mom was 30 or so. She started at 34 or 35 with peri. So it does depend. Seizures will get worse or better. Mine got better. take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/
