Long term mental health effects

Does anyone know if there are any long term mental health effects (higher risk of depression, anxiety, etc) in adulthood if someone has suffered from childhood epilepsy but is now seizure free?

Ive been seizure free for 6 years. Was told it was childhood. I've been off meds for 5 years now. But I have OCD and anxiety which they say are from my seizures messing with my brain. Its not extreme OCD but Its hard some days its louder then other days.  But I'm dealing. But my cusent is also child hood epilepsy and she has anxiety and depression. Not sure if her doc says it is related or not. My mom had the same (yes runs in our family 4 out of 5 females have it in my family) but she had depression badly. I really do think there is a connection. Basically we take a medication that can control the information input and output that back then they didnt know it could help with depression and now what happens if you take depression meds when you don't need it? I believe we can't control our brain info naturally any more because of the meds that did it for us for so long.
