epilepsy and monthly cycle

This may sound funny coming from a guy, and I can only give you a patial answer, but since I see nobody has answered I guess you can take my answer for what you feel it's worth. I have heard of other women having seizures at the time of there monthly cycle and from my experience stress definitely brings on seizures reguardless what the stress comes from so maybe you would be best to go ahead. Hi, I know from my neurologist that it is a known fact that womens' cycle help bring on seizures.  It's all of the hormones and blood and other stuff.  I have had seizures for almost four years now and my doc. said that it is a good idea to be on a birth control to maintain my cycle and also hormones.  My seizures on average will mostly come around my monthly cylce time.  Depending on how many I have that month, but say I will have ten....maybe six will come three to four days before it starts.  And I know my doc has many, many other women patients who are exactly the same.  So, maybe what you're thinking about doing may not be that bad of an idea.  But, think good and hard about it.  And I'm sure whatever you decide will be just right.  Good luck in whatever you do,   Cheryl
