epilepsy surgery of right temporal lobe

My son had a right temporal lobe resection which also included the right hippocampus and removal of a neoplasm from his right occipital lobe last week. The doctors said he did very well but he is complaining of eye pain and blurry double vision. His jaw pain is getting better. I realize that he still has a lot of swelling but how long before he can see better. Sleeping alot and still on heavy duty anti-seizure meds.
