Auction to raise funds for epilepsy awareness campaign! Ends 4/4/10

Sun, 03/28/2010 - 21:04

Hello! For those of you who have never checked out my website, www.ozville.org and browsed the epilepsy pages, my name is Kendal and I have a personal mission... to raise awareness about the risks of unsupervised showers and baths for people with epilepsy. I don't have epilepsy, but my step-daughter did. She drown in the bathtub when she was 14. I've met other people who have lost children to epilepsy and included their stories on my website. Twice a year I attend epilepsy walks in Southern California and spend my own money to buy silicone bracelets that say "Epilepsy isn't Waterproof". I usually give out 100-200 each time. But it's not cheap... Since I can't buy in bulk, each bracelet cost me about $1.50 . So I'm trying to raise a little money to help with the next batch. I went to a book signing last week for Jennifer Love Hewitt's new book, and put it up for auction on eBay. I'm hoping to make at least $50 more than the book cost me, and put it towards my next bracelet purchase. So I'm just spreading the word and hoping someone is a JLH fan! Please visit the auction if you're interested in helping out. Thanks!
