Sensory issues after a seizure?

Mon, 07/30/2018 - 16:57
I'm 38 and last weekend had what I think was a seizure of absence. I only know because my son asked what I was doing, he said my eyes rolled up and fluttered for a few seconds and I couldn't hear him. For several hours afterwards I felt strange, as if I'd taken a mild hallucinogen, my vision was hyper clear and sharp and sounds and touch seemed more intense. Then I was exhausted suddenly and slept. As far as I know I've never had a seizure before, but I have had those after effects a few times and wonder if I've had others without knowing. I've been looking and haven't seen anything about this 'trippy' feeling but maybe it's because I'm using different words. Does it sound familiar to anyone as an after effect of seizures?

Yes, l,m afraid that we all have so many of these throughout our lives, like you, that we just don,t know about. I have over 50 but my hubby has never counted them all. He just claps his hands or scream,s my name out loud to get me out of one if he does notice, then I,m completely confused afterwards. I think you could have very much the same problem but just don,t know it.
