Hello, World!

Tue, 12/18/2018 - 10:26
Name: Chris Age: 26 From: Alaska Diagnoses: Epilepsy (Grand Mal & Simple Partial), PTSD, Anxiety Interests: Mathematics, Computer Science, Neurology, Artificial Intelligence, Fitness I'm here because my case manager suggested that I would benefit from finding like-minded people who share similar setbacks. I like to impress and delight my case manager, so I followed her suggestions. My situation is rather hard at the moment. I woke up from a coma approximately 13 months ago and I lacked years of memory. I was unable to talk, walk, and take care of my bodily movement among other things. Physically, it took weeks for me to stop falling over. Mentally, my college education was extremely distant, and it took me months just regain my Elo in mathematics. I live in rural Alaska, unable to drive due to the frequency of my seizures. This makes transportation my primary difficulty. Just to get to the first bus stop is 1.3 miles through -10 degrees Fahrenheit. So, in response to my primary difficulty, I determine that my primary objective should be to locate myself more centrally. Indeed, it should be quite some time before I am able to leave the state, but I wish to at least live in the middle of a town or city instead of the middle of nowhere. I'm currently unemployed and awaiting SSI, although I have gotten mixed reviews about whether or not I'll be deemed eligible. I am not opposed to employment and typically find value in working, but nonetheless, I simply am not positioned to obtain essentially any job at the moment. Quite, I haven't even but an appropriate set up to work over the internet, as I lack the capital to start-up any sort of business. I hope this will change if I am able to find some way of moving into a central location. Until then, I suppose I'll just follow whatever suggestions people offer that seem most sensible.
