Explaining EEG

Tue, 06/18/2019 - 17:58
Hi All, I'm wondering if anybody can explain the results of my EEG for me? The report says 'the background activity showed bilateral and symmetric media voltage alpha rhythm at 9/10hz. A quota of bilateral symmetric theta activity at 6/7hz over the frontal and central areas and somewhat widespread. There was some sharply contoured waves which at times were widely recorded but with more emphasis over the left frontotemporal areas particularly observed during and after hyperventilation and drowsiness. However, the photic stimulation did not show any change. In conclusion the record showed a few suspiciously contoured slow transients but no definite ictal or interictal epileptiform discharges.' Thanks for any help!
