Complex migraines with seizures?

Thu, 06/25/2015 - 22:35

Hi all,

I'm still in the process of being diagnosed. Several of my tests have come back normal, but my symptoms have gotten worse. I have the lingering effects after I have the numbing/tingling sensation throughout my body then the tremors start last about 2 minutes. Lately, the numbing tingling has been lingering for a couple of hours afterwards. I went to the ER because of the lingering effects. I was diagnosed with complex migraines with stroke type symptoms and given topamax for the headaches. I went to the Neurologist today, he says for now he will agree with the complex migraines but I have inconsistencies meaning the tremor activity is a concern and so is the unresponsiveness. He's thinking if I have a few more episodes where I do not respond he has no choice but to declare a seizure diagnosis. My question for all community members. Do any of you have a headache as a warning that a seizure is about to occur? Has anyone been diagnosed with complex migraines as well?

Thank you for your time.

Aperson can have a seizure

Aperson can have a seizure and not have epilepsy. Many people have a seizure and not have another one. Migraines can be a part of a seizure. The same with numbing/tingling sensation. If you have had teh numbness and tingling before you needed to inform the neurologist about them. All it takes to diagnose someone with epilepsy is 2 seizures.
