My story

Thu, 01/18/2018 - 21:53
I’m a 13 year old suffering from complex partial seizures. I’ve been doing well but my medications have a side effect of anxiety that I constantly have to deal with and so far the anxiety medication that I have doesn’t work well with my epilepsy meds. Overall I have anxiety everyday no matter what time and I don’t know how to deal with it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with anxiety other than medications???

I would go to a psychologist

I would go to a psychologist for anxiety. There are strategies for coping with anxiety that are not medication related. You might get a second opinion from another epileptologist to see if they have any new ideas for medications--maybe there is one out there that would not cause as much anxiety?
