children with seizures and school

I have a child that has been diagnosed with a seizure disorder since the age of three. She is also mentally delayed and has problems with her immune system. For a long time the doctors and I thought that one of the main trigers for her seizures was being sick. But I'm not so sure anymore. It seems that there is something diffrent at school that at home. I send my daughter to school and she has focal seizure and is very tired, gets diarrhea, lethargic, and just overall not her self, and seems sick. She comes home perks up and does fine. I keep her home for a day and she is active and well. The next day I try sending her to school and it starts all over again. I think that it might be the florecent lights. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Has she ever been dx'ed with photosensitivity? What is she eating? Allergies? There are alot of open ended questions... remember I am not a doctor. (smile) Missy

Sometimes school can be a trigger because it's stressful. Does she ever do these things at home when you are doing homework? Is there something or someone at school upseting her. Triggers can change over time. If illness is what brought them up when she was 3, then as time goes on, something different can trigger her. Did she ever have a seizure with the photic stimulation during her EEG? Maybe get a florescent light in your house and see if it triggers a seizure.
