Am I having seizures

Fri, 05/03/2019 - 22:50
First off, i'm sorry if this post is going to be a little all over the place, i'm just in a really anxious mood. Whenever I was a little kid I would always get these episodes about once a week where my perception of hearing was all messed up. Let me elaborate. In these episodes it felt like every sound that I heard was going ten times faster than it should have sounded, and I would also see things in these episodes. These would always freak me out, but afterwards the memory was always kind of blurry like I was only half present. These episodes happened consistently till I was 10 but then started to calm down to the point where I would only experience them every few months. But when these episodes kind of waned off more things feel into place that could also be potential seizures. The next kind of episode that I have usually starts off with me being very nauseous. This usually makes me think i'm about to puke so I will go to the bathroom and sit by the toilet. While this is happening I can feel everything rising into my throat like i'm about to puke. When I am in this nauseous state I usually get a sensation that is similar to the one I talked about above, and then I zone out completely. I usually come back to reality thinking I only zoned out for a few seconds, but find that quite a few minutes have passed without me realizing. Usually by then me being nauseous calms down and I can get back to bed (These episodes most often happen before I'm about to go to bed or in the middle of the night, although they can come during the day). The last episodes that I think happen the most often are the times that I zone out, but this is usually without me being nauseous. I will usually be sitting someone doing something like reading a book or having a conversation with someone when all of the sudden I totally zone out without warning. I usually come back to reality after a few minutes, but it is still concerning. If anyone has any information on whether or not I should look into seeing a neurologist or not that would be great. I just want to figure out whats going on. P.S- I do have a history of anxiety disorders but this is a totally different feeling compared to them. My anxiety attack/panic attacks usually consist of me screaming, while these episodes are nothing of the such, and they have no identifiable trigger. Just thought I would let you guys know because my family insists that I am perfectly fine and its just my anxiety. I don't know but I just want these episodes to go away so any help would be wonderful :)

Doesn't sound good. I'd see a neurologist. Whenever I hallucinate, it's usually a sign of seizure activity.

When I was in elementary

When I was in elementary school I had episodes where I had problems with my vision, seeing things that weren’t there. It went away for a while... then gradually got worse. My left hand started jerking and moving it’s own and a few months after that, I began having GTCs and partial seizures... sometimes small stuff can lead up to big things. I still have the small seizures every day. I would definitely go see a neurologist.
