a 7 yr old withseizures

I have a 7 year old who had a tumor removed from his temporal lobe in 2006. My question is how do you teach a child that young (and who is high functioning autistic) about seizures? He doesn't have convulsions, so knowing whether he's had a seizure is difficult unless you are familiar with his.  He will complain about his vision being "funny," his head hurting, hearing things in his head, and just being really tired. But I don't think he knows what is going on.  He doesn't remember things a lot of times, and he gets upset because then he gets blamed for things he really doesn't remember doing or saying.  We had been seizure free (so we think) for a exactly 12 months now things are out of wack again.  We have done an EEG and a MRI but too many artifacts but they contradict each other. Meaning one shows artifacts on the right and the other shows it on the left. These tests were done at different hospitals. So we are at a standstill. But I have read that it would help if a child could explain what they feel before, during and after...which is what I would like my son to do.
