Something strange is going on

Sun, 01/23/2005 - 11:41

I don't know if this is E related or not??  I have been seeing color "auras" for the last few days..most noticeable at night and only out of my right eye?  I have also been seeing spots...again, it seems only in my right eye.  I am having some difficulty focusing my eyes as well...they either jump all over the place or everything close-up gets real blurry.  I'm near-sighted and have never had this problem before other then the typical distance blurring associated with near-sightedness.  I was trying to take some photographs the other night and the blurriness and eyestrain/jumpiness was so bad that I thought I was going to throw-up.  I don't know if this is another side-effect from the trileptal I am having, just E realted in general or if I need to go to the dr.  I do know that I had a szr last weekend and these things have occured since then.  I have had problems with my eyes going out of focus in the past...usually the only warning that I'm going to have a szr in a few second...but not consistently.  I'm not sure I need to call my neuro and ask about this or if I should see an eye doctor.

ANy info/advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Oh...I have had generalized TC for almost 6yrs , current med is 1500mg Triletpal.

Thanks,

Zoo
