Hi Jenna1!Yep, you sure can have both. In fact, a Simple Partial Seizure can evolve into a Complex Partial Seizure, and then into a “Complex Partial Seizure Secondarily Generalized;” and the change can happen fast. I suggest you ask the doctor who is testing you (your doctor is always your best source of information), as well read the information on this web site located at http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/types_seizures.html. To use the helpful menu on the left of your screen to get there, go to "Main," then "All About Epilepsy and Seizures," then "Types of Seizures." Check in the information under both "Simple Partial Seizures" and "Complex Partial Seizures."Blessings and Good Luck!gsness
