New Problems, New Era

Hi All, I have had Tonic Clonic Seizures pretty Much my whole life (since age 4) and I will be 39 this week. The forum thing is new to me, but I think its really awesome. I truly wish it was around when I was a kid. That being said; I am A navy wife, and my care unfortunately has been slipped upon many a times. It is because I am vigilant, my parents are demanding and have stepped in ( only because my husband is really not allowed to throw a fit at the military hospitals) that I am probably still alive today. Seriously though....We are going to be in retiring in my home state of Arizona, and I am on Topamax 200 MG Bid ... Have been since 1998 when I was flown out by the Navy to go see a Dr. Alan Block at Barrows. (at that time I was having anywhere from 4-7 seizures a day) Topamax has done well for me. However I have some crazy side effects. I have done the whole lets see if you can come down off your Meds thing resulting in a seizure - Not once, but twice. They're still there. My Biggest concern is how long my body is going to tolerate taking anti- convulsants. I already have GI issues, Consistant renal problems, and OB problems... Is there a solution to this?
