mood swings and seizures

Wed, 03/22/2006 - 07:50
Goodmorning, Joyce Here: I have noticed the last two seizures I have had there was some moodyness before and after. Is this a normal thing and does any one else get the same way? With my headaches I have noticed some changes with my mood and sleep patterns, I have only been able too get around 4-5 hours of sleep a night. Any idea's as to how I can get more then that without having to take any over the counter sleeping aids? I know that with my first semester exam around the corner has certianly added to the stress I have been trying to deal with. I am very afraid that I wont pass, I am not a ready as I should be, and my ability to remain focused on my studies has not been very good. I am determined though too finish this and do my best to get my Associate's degree. I will be posting my story hopefully by Friday and hope many of you will read it. Untill later, Joyce

Hi Joyce. Lack of sleep can be very bad. I realy don't have any suggestions but do you think it's from the meds?

Hi Joyce, Just a few suggestions you might try to help you sleep, Try lavender seanted room spray in your room and on your sheets, Lavender and vanilla are very soothing to the senses and have been known to help promote rest, also try sleeping in a very dark room and keep it on the cool side, camamille tea or sleepy time tea before bed helps both have no caffine, You also might want to try a white niose machine or they also have ocean sounds and other various other sounds you can try to. Dependeding on what you find soothing. Also if you find you just cant get back to sleep dont try to force it get up and do something very in stimulating and boring (read the dictionary or something of that sort) sometimes it can put you back in the sleep mode. Best wishes for you and may you have the vary sweetest of dreams. Always Pam
