Living with Epilepsy

Hello to all my epileptic buddies This site has far too many negative posts-some from people who are misinformed about Epilepsy and others from who just seem to want to wallow in self-pity because they have it. This paints the wrong picture of Epilepsy overall and adds to the misconceptions about it. If you are epileptic and agree please provide others with positive post-like how you CAN deal with it I've had various seizures for over 45 years (now daily) but know they will pass and will not kill me. Of course I don't drive so I take busses (met some very interesting people as a result. I've been on all kinds of meds but I know my body will adapt in time to the side effects as anyone on any drug should. I get pain but other conditions cause worse. Most geniuses in history have had epilepsy-don't be ashamed because you do. The options for treatment are ever-expanding. I'm in the midst of trying a new drug and could care less about side effect as I said I know they will pass and I am happy that this is available. If a drug is helping you why would you go off it?
