Eye discomfort

Just curious -- has anyone experienced any eye discomfort with your epilepsy? As I have been preparing to go back to the doctor {after 15 years}, I have been trying to overview every odd symptom I have had, one of which is with my eyes. My eyes just feel weird sometimes, although my vision is unaffected. I may be reading and suddenly find it difficult, because my eyes feel funny {like I am having to concentrate/focus really hard}. Also, for the past few years when I am talking with someone, I am suddenly aware of my focal point and my eyes and have a hard time looking at the person. That sounds really weird, doesn't it? Is it all in my head? {ha,ha,ha}

What type of medication are you on? I had a problem with with my vision and balance if my dilantin level was too high. It may be something to consider. Have you brought this up with your doctor?

I had vision problems..related to tegretol. I was seeing double and has been much better w/ a med change to dilantin.

Hi Angie,Do they get fuzzy, blurred & then you see double & then they come back into focus (or not)? That Happens to me quite often...I haven't been diagnosed yet. My HMO is a bit slow approving my tests.And lucky me New Year, New Medical Group...I am starting all over with the testing...only with Doctors that know about Neurological disorders this time.Since My possible stroke/tia then seizures my eyesight has been getting worse. My family says my pupils dilate and constrict differently.Dayna
