I had two seizures and I thought I fell out of bed.  I hurt my back and it still hurt now three months after the fact.   When I was in the hosipital I could not move for a couple of day.  I did discover that one time I was found in bathroom.  I fell and crack the tile on the floor with my head.  It is a maricle I did not break any bones.  It is kind of scarey because I have this habit of trying to walk after I have seizure.

Hi I am Nancy, and I also ahve epilepsy.

Probably the same kind you do.  I have an epileptic syndrome called TLE.

I have simple partial, complex partial, and secondarily generalized TCs.

I also have a history of having them in my sleep, and waking up with sore muscles that ache, bruises that are not something that you could get if you tried, etc

what you are having is NOT the simple partial.  You are sleeping, and it may have started out as a simple partial, evolved into the complex partial, and then again into the secondarily generalized TC.  When you are awake, you can catch your aura, and do something about it, and when you are asleep, you can't feel weird, or smell weird things, or whatever, you jsut have the seizure, and throw things around, tear up the bed so the covers are in a knot, know over things on the night stand, wake up with sore  teeth, drool all over the pillow, and bodily damage.

I have a list as long as my arm of all the injuried from my seizures.

I even have a helmet that I wear on the days wher I am really bad and having myoclonics all the time.  THey cause my legs to jerk hard enough that I will fall down and hard if I am standing or walking when one occurs.

Only about 60% of people with TCs urinate themselves.  It is relatively a rare thing, and more oftenly seen in children.

After I have a seizure I have to go to the bathroom pretty bad, and I don't know waht causes that.

During one of my many trips tp the hospital i had a head scan, after the results i was asked "we know about one of the fractures, you better tell us about the other one".

I still have no idea what he was on about.

When i was a bit younger i used to wake up and one side of my face would be swollen or "puffy". Thats usually when my mom would be concernd. Im not sure if i did have one but i think so.

I have never been injured though. I have had epilepsy since i was two..i am now fourteen. My heart goes out to all of you who have to suffer with the injury because of it.
