7 Day Video EEG

Mon, 10/15/2018 - 17:37
Hello everyone! I’m scheduled to have a VEEG in 2weeks and I’m freaking out. Can anyone share their experience and give any advice? Anything at all would help. I just don’t know what to expect and I’m scared.

Sorry I don't know much about it except its something like a brain scan .I have never experienced it personally .I don't think if I had to have one I would worry too much but that's easy to say .Maybe i would worry about it  like you obviously are ..All I would say is its for your own good and you should try and be positive but again its easy to say .I wish you well anyway

Sorry, but also just relax

Sorry, but also just relax and find a way to enjoy the time there.  They are keeping an eye on you to help out if needed.  This last time during the SEEG, I brought my blue tooth speaker and played some music, talked with the nurses and care partners from each shift and made the best of the tie I was there.  Like I said in the other post, stay positive and don't worry.  The VEEG does not involve any surgeries or anything like that.  They keep an eye on you for seizures or you also have a button if you feel a seizure coming on and notify them so that they record it well.  Enough talk from me now, good luck.Racer

I haven't had a 7 day but I

I haven't had a 7 day but I have had a 3 day VEEG. It really wasn't bad at all. I do understand you fears as I had them as well. However, the worst parts were really just being tethered to the bed (I became a little restless) so bring plenty to keep yourself occupied and not being able to wash my very long hair. That shower felt so good once I finally got to shampoo and condition my hair. ;) Positive vibes coming your way hun!
