10 minute module for grade school kids on epilepsy

Tue, 12/09/2014 - 21:00

Hi guys,

I'm currently in my second year of medical school, I have epilepsy and I'm involved in my school Neuroscience outreach program. There is a school district nearby that was hoping that we could come up with a ~10 minute interactive module to teach their students K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 (presumably different levels of detail for each) about epilepsy. I took it on because I thought it would be really easy to come up with something interactive, but I'm actually struggling quite a bit. I could easily lecture or tell my story for 10 minutes but that's definitely not interactive.

Just curious if anyone out there has done this or has any ideas??

Thanks in advance!!
