Need Anaswers Please

Hello to everyone. I am looking for some answers.

Let me start out by giving some background details.

The person in my house (Amy) is a 28 yr old female. She was diagnosed with Epilepsy when she was 9 months old after a tumble down a flight of stairs.

From the age of 9mnths to 26 yrs old she lived with her Mother, Step-Father and brother. At the age of 27 her mother (my aunt) passed away. 1 month after we also lost our grandmother. 1 month after that it was decided from several members of my family that she shouldn't be living with her step-father no longer, let me tell you why. From as far back as I can remember he was never really nice to her, both him and her mother were alcoholics and we all suspected abuse but could never prove it.

Ok thats enough background, I'm sure ya'll get the picture.

 My questions are as follows............

1. Can a siezure be caused from nitemares?

2. Has anyone ever witnessed someone in a seizure that seems as if they regress in age?

I say regress because Amy says things while in a seizure that i vividly remember her saying as a child.

Amy cannot be controled while in these seizures. She wants to get up and walk around, she reaches for things that are not there. She says Momma over and over again. She screams, coughs, whistles, snaps her fingers and claps her hands, Are these typical?

3. Can a seizure be caused from thinking about things too much? Amy thinks about some of the littlest things way too much and over analyzes things.

If anyone here would be so kind to respond to my questions or have any insight as to how to deal with some these issues I would greatly appreciate it.

I am not familiar with all types of szs.  I have simple partial and partial complex szs and have never done that.  I think everyone is different and reacts to things differently.  ****What does her neuro say? *** Could it be a side-effect of some med she is on?

not getting enough sleep..... Every living being is capable of having a sz!  Did an farmer in Modesto, California,  who was on his tractor for 2 days and nights, he was an admit to the hospital for dehyd. and sz.  That was the reason.  He had not been eating   and not been drinking!   Once he was fed and hydrated, he was fine.  He was not a sz patient.

Amy needs to be seen by a doctor to confirm her diagnoses at this point.  Several things can cause it!

Hey my name is Sarah and I have had grand mal seizures since I was 14 I am now 25 so obviously I mysself have never seen it however I KNOW I cry and wine for my mom when coming out of the seizure I'm very disoriented and I can remember bits and parts after the seizure where I act like a child i dont know why but I do. I've spoken with dr.s about it and they never act like its abnormal. I don't know about the nightmare part or dreaming you asked about although I'm sure if scared bad enough she could go into a seizure. Healthy diet and plenty of sleep is vital to an epileptic. Stress is also a huge factor. I hope this helped some good luck!
