Apollo 8

Wed, 12/24/2008 - 10:37
It's been 40 yrs ago that Apollo 8 was the first crew to orbit the moon. I'll never forget the TV broadcast of the blue & white earth raising above the grey and lifeless moon from the spaceship on christmas eve. The crew chose to read from the bible and wish all on earth a merry christmas. Here where these guys a instant from death or being stranded in space forever so they prayed on christmas eve for all of us. Still in thes country some people complained that they should'nt pray in goverment property the capsual the where in.

If things were so understandable! One of the breaks I would get at the school bus stop was during the Holidays. Then fellow students would ease up on throwing rocks at me during any seizure, and throw them instead at those who had different Holidays, especially the few also cited as "those who don't even recite the Pledge of Allegiance in class." The way the economy is, and with epilepsy, we all better watch out for the rocks, especially if we're assumed to be unproductive into the future nice generation of absolute divine truth to the letter of whichever book. Still, Happy Holidays!, wish I could celebrate and party more!, but my doctor said no to this, that, and about everything else.............
