Piece of Cake

Tue, 06/06/2006 - 18:56
Sometimes we wonder, "What did i do to deserve this." or "Why did God have to do this to me?" Here's a wonderful explanation...A daughter is telling her mother how everything is going wrong..She's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her, her best friend's moving away or maybe she's been diagnosed with E. Meanwhile, her mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she'd like a snack. "Sure mom, I love your cake!" "Here, have some cooking oil"her mother offers. "Yuck, mom" "How about a couple of raw eggs?"she says. "Gross Mom!" "Would you rather some flour or baking soda?" "Mom, those are all yucky!" to which the mother replies. "Yes, all these things by themselves are bad but put them all together in the right order and you have something wonderful. God works the same way. Many times we wonder why he would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when he puts these things all in his order, they'll always work for good! We just have to trust him and eventually they will all make something wonderful. God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every Spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, he'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, he chose your heart. Hope your day is "A PIECE OF CAKE!!!"

Sandy, That was absolutely wonderful! And you posted it at such a good time for me. I'm jerking today (myoclonics) and that always makes me angry when I do. This has helped me to see that they really only take up a small part of my day and that the rest of the day has been good. Thank you! Smiles! -Spiz
