Apprehensive...lots to deal with..and thank you!

Well, I got out of Vanderbilt with an EEG that recorded 6 seizures while I was off my meds. I have officially started Trileptal...so far so good! I am apprehensive for different reasons now. I hope that this medicine "is for me" and that I am stabilized after a few months. It sucks not being able to drive and I am having to constantly bum off my friends or my son's grandparents! It's all for a good reason.....Lord knows those of us who aren't completely controlled don't need to be on the road, and I especially don't need to be driving my son (or putting anyone else's children in danger for that matter.) I have really enjoyed reading everyone's stories and questions and answers. Heck, a few of mine have been answered.May the Lord bless everyone here and we can all get through this together with this wonderful support :-)Megan

hi, I could tell you not to be scared,but I can't lie,I would be also.Even though there is nothing to be scared of.I'm sure this is very hard on you since you are so far away from home.All I can say is to pray.The good Lord will get you through this.We are all here for you.My seizures have not changed,infact,I've only started with mine on a daily basis about 3 months ago.I take Tegretol XR,600mg a day.The only advise I have is to do what the doc says and pray alot.Good luck

Hello:

My son is 10 and he takes Trileptal and it works really well for him. We are on two 300mg in the a.m. and now two and a half in the evening. So far as a mom I really like it and he acts fine with it.
