New Here>>>>>Alternative Therapy/Diet/Supplements>>> 23F.........Grand Mals.........

I have been thinking about alternatives and I have alot of interest in the Fatty/low carb diet or Omega3 supplements. Here is my background: I am a 23-F I have a Grand Mal ONCE a year......(That is the odd trend) Since I was 16 yrs old.& yes I've been taking Carbamazepine since then. I most recent GM seizure was July.14th. (Taking 1600MG/day Carbamazepine)!!!!!???????? Now just today I find out my doc wants to add Dilantin into the picture.......200MG @ Bedtime. I am scared these drugs have terrible side effects together ....... Is there proof-success stories that young adults can decrease seizures because of the different diets/supplements??? I REALLY would appreciate help and insight, as I do not have a local epilepsy group, and I am afraid all my doctor wants to do is feed me more pills.......YIKES!!
