Marijuana- More than just 'good or bad'!

I have had been diagnosed with seizures for 25 years. I do not use marijuana in my own therapy for epilepsy. I do have an open mind and know of many that do find beneficial help from its use. I have done alot of research on the subject. If you are considering alternatives as it appears that many are in these forums, please thoroughly research and discuss intelligently with your medical providers. There are a variety of strains that produce different effects within your system that is why most medicinal users grow their own variety. I am only providing this info for those seeking info to show that using medicinal marijuana is not as simple as asking your college friends for a little of their party stash. It is not the same. Individuals need to understand the medicinal values of the strains or they could actually suffer more adverse reactions. I realize that most will be amazed at how long this list is...but that is my whole point of discussion on this forum. I believe that folks seeking answers should be given more progressive information on marijuana rather than its 'bad' or 'good' based on judgments not factual data! I'm trying to talk my Dr into writing me a script for MM. The last time I went any good length of time without a seizure, my Dr asked me what I was doing right and I told him. In disbelief he tried to make it seem as if it was a bad thing. I'd rather smoke weed every day than shove the drugs prescribed to me for Epilepsy down my throat. I'm beginning to think it's worth paying up for a Dr to write me a script for a MM card. I know it will help me eat better for sure!

Medical Marijuana may be good or bad but there is something that I wish you to know of. Don't over smoke marijuana because it can have adverse effects on some people. After years of heavy smoking due to depression i build up a toxic level of THC in my body and it began to make my seizures even worse. My addiction almost cost my life when I started having seizures in the bath tub. No one knew what was causing my seizures to get worse and the strangest thing was that the only thing that made me feel better was soaking myself in Hot Water. I ended up in and out of the bath or shower until all the hot water in my home was used up. After the water was gone I'd end up taking an ambulance ride up to the hospital emergency room. It was truly a nightmare that not even the doctor could figure out what it was that was making me puke and it wouldn't stop. Eventually he gave me the links to some web sites that described what was happening to me. Since he gave me these links I have gotten a least a dozen people to quit smoking with me. They had the same sickness and didn’t even know it
