looking up

Ever since I was really little, say 5 or 6, or the farthest back that I can remember, I've had this problem with looking up. Say for instance there's a television mounted near the ceiling. If I have to tilt my head back to look at it I get this extremely overwhelming and tingling feeling throughout my body. It almost feels as if I'm being tickled EVERYWHERE. Like this wave just comes over me. It's the same feeling I get whenever I feel nervous or really scared, but this lasts longer and it's more intense because there's no emotion attached to it. I'm just trying to watch TV and bam I'm struggling to keep myself sane. The odd thing about it is that it doesn't happen all the time. I don't know the word for it but it's the same effect as when you think about blinking. I only get this horrible aura when I think about it. Like I'll be looking at the TV and then realize "Wait, shouldn't I be getting that aura now, and then it happens" and from then on for like an hour or so I can't look up until I forget about it. Just like when you think about how you blink. If you think about blinking you have to like manually blink, it's almost as if it's not automatic anymore. And I've had it happen with breathing and walking too. I'm wondering if this aura I get looking up at things is a seizure or not, because now it's beginning to happen without me having to look up. It's happening when I glance over my shoulder at things and look back forward. I get like a dizzy spell. And this time I can't stop it. I have to ride it out until it stops. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them before, just wondering. I'd like to know what to tell my doctor. It's unexplainable.

This sometimes happens to me also.  I just feel light-headed though and then it goes away after 10 seconds or so.

Have you ever had an MRI where they looked for Arnold Chiari Malformation??? Very important you have this done before you see a chiropractor. Look this up on the net and it will explain what this is. My son has it as well as BRE. His ACM is symptom free so far. curtis.wybourn@qbeamericas.com
