Deficiency of Selenium and Zinc as a Potential Factor in Drug-resistant Epilepsy

Fri, 01/25/2013 - 10:27
Based upon the recent article posted on Epilepsy.com showing selenium and zinc deficiencies in a group of patients with drud resistant ideopathic epilepsy, it would seem reasonable to consider selenium and zinc (minimum recommended allowances) for various patients with uncontrolled drug resistant epilepsy. It would seem there is little risk of using these supplements if one does not exceed the minimum recommended allowances for these supplements. Any thoughts?
