Every 2 years since 2008, the ketogenic diet community focusing on epilepsy (and other neurologic conditions) has met in person to discuss what’s exciting and new in the field. These biannual meetings have been critical for the explosion of interest in ketogenic diets for epilepsy. This year's meeting, which was postponed from 2020 due to COVID-19, will be a hybrid event, will feature a science-packed agenda starting.
The conference will start with a three-part special lecture highlighting the 100-year anniversary of the diet with lectures on its past, present and future. The conference will be a mix of basic and clinical science, with lectures for neurologists and dietitians. In addition, there will be a poster reception and a gala dinner (in person), as well as the formal launch of INKS (International Neurological Ketogenic Society), which has been many years in the making.
