Photo Competition for International Epilepsy Day 2016

Whether you enter the contest or not, join us in celebrating International Epilepsy Day. On February 8th, share your photo on your social media account using the hashtag #epilepsyday so everyone can join you in celebrating your "Yes I can!" moment.


 

Once again the Epilepsy Foundation is proud to join the epilepsy community in recognizing Monday, February 8, 2016, as International Epilepsy Day. Organized by the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) and the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), the themes for this year are

Yes I can! Poster
  • Epilepsy is more than Seizures
  • Yes, I can! 

Yes, I can! kicks off with a photo competition that invites people to submit photos that demonstrate achievement in overcoming obstacles or achievement despite obstacles. The best photographs will become part of an International Epilepsy Day Exhibition held in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, from February 1 to Friday 5, 2016. All entries will also be placed in a gallery on the International Epilepsy Day website, www.epilepsy.org.

Photos should reflect “the feeling of achievement” and must be include the hashtag #epilepsyday in some way. Photos can be submitted in two categories:

  1. Photos taken with smartphones or tablets
  2. Photos taken using regular cameras

The prize winner in each category will receive $1,000 (US).

Submissions are due by January 17, 2016.
