Epilepsy News From: Tuesday, June 13, 2017
In Observance of Men’s Health Month
The Epilepsy Foundation joins the Men’s Health Network celebration of Men’s Health Month with a webinar on men and epilepsy. Men’s Health Month educates the public, health care providers, and policy makers on the importance of health care issues specific to men and boys.
Overall, more men than women live with epilepsy. Males and non-Hispanic Blacks also had the highest age-adjusted death rates with epilepsy from 2005 to 2014 according to a 2016 study using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This webinar will help educate health care providers on how to serve men and boys with epilepsy.
