Finding Your Power in Relationships Regardless of Epilepsy
Epilepsy News From: Monday, February 05, 2018
Has epilepsy ever gotten in the way of your relationship with family or friends? Are you hesitant to go out with friends because you are afraid of having a seizure in public? Do you wonder how to tell friends or loved ones about your epilepsy?
Epilepsy can cause havoc for many people, including children and adults with epilepsy and their family members. But how and what to do about it usually doesn’t get talked about at the doctor’s office. Hopefully if you are seen at an epilepsy center, a nurse, social worker, or psychologist has talked about this with you. If they haven’t, ask. Also consider visiting a support group at your local Epilepsy Foundation.
