Epilepsy News From: Friday, October 26, 2018

Webinar on Thursday, November 15, 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET

Are you an employer looking to learn more about epilepsy?

Do you employ a caregiver or spouse of someone living with epilepsy?

Join the Epilepsy Foundation and Getting Hired, Inc. for a webinar on Thursday, November 15, 2018, to learn about how employers can provide accommodations for people living with epilepsy, their caregivers and spouses. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 3.4 million people have epilepsy nationwide, which is why it is important employers know the spectrum of epilepsy and how to support this population in the workplace.

This webinar is geared toward employers (hiring managers and recruiters) to learn more about epilepsy in the workplace. However, all are welcome to register and participate.

The webinar will focus on:

  • The spectrum of epilepsy and misperceptions about seizures
  • Top accommodations for epilepsy in the workplace, including the low cost for employers
  • Tips to attract, hire and drive inclusion of individuals with epilepsy in your workplace
