Neuropsych Evalulations Lecture - Jan 28

On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, FACES and the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center will host the evening's Peace of Mind Lecture - Mind Over Matter: Neuropsychological Evaluations - presented by William Barr PhD.

The evening begins at 6:00 PM with a pre-lecture social. The lecture will begin promptly at 6:30 PM and conclude at 8 PM. The lecture will take place at the NYU Medical Center, 550 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016.

Admission is FREE, but capacity is limited, so please register online ASAP.

Following the event, a video of this lecture (as well as past lectures in the Peace of Mind series) will be available online on the Peace of Mind page of the FACES website.

About the presenter:

William Barr PhD is the Chief of Neuropsychology at the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and an Associate Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. Among his clinical duties include neuropsychological assessments, Wada tests, and brain mapping procedures on patients undergoing surgical treatment for epilepsy. He also specializes in neuropsychological assessment of patients with memory disorders resulting from brain injury, dementia, psychiatric disorders, and medical illness. His primary research interests include memory and other aspects of cognitive and behavioral functioning in epilepsy. He also researches sports concussion and serves at the neuropsychological consultant to various sports teams around the New York region.

FACES (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures) is affiliated with NYU Langone Medical Center and its Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. FACES funds research to improve epilepsy care, advances new therapies, and fosters a supportive community for children, families and caregivers who live with the challenges of epilepsy.

The mission of FACES is to improve the quality of life for all those affected by epilepsy and seizures. Its goal is to find a cure.
