“How do you not tell someone Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) is a possibility?” Cortney’s mother, Peggy Sherrell, was her best friend. As a child, Cortney knew her mother had epilepsy, but she didn’t know SUDEP was a possibility. Losing her mother was the hardest day of Cortney’s life.
