Community Corner: The National Epilepsy Education and Awareness Collaborative
Epilepsy News From: Tuesday, October 30, 2018
As National Epilepsy Month arrives, the Epilepsy Foundation wants to thank our many partners who work tirelessly to improve education and awareness about epilepsy. More importantly, they work together and in their own organizations to improve the care and quality of life for people with epilepsy and their families.
National Epilepsy Education and Awareness Collaborative
The National Epilepsy Education and Awareness Collaborative (called the NEEAC) is a multi-year project funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Partnership in Action
- In this week’s newsletter, learn about our work with the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). We’ve reached PAs at national and local conferences throughout the United States. Learn how the Epilepsy Foundation of East Tennessee (EFET) helped educate PAs in their area.
- Next week, we’ll highlight the ECHO Epilepsy / Neurology Project from University of Cincinnati, part of the NEEAC and funded by the CDC.
Stay tuned for more about the NEEAC and our partners!
