has anyone heard of lamictal causing more seizures?

My daughter has been on lamictal for awhile now and the Dr increased her dose and i swear her seizures and falls are worse.  Can the lamictal be causing more seizures.  Shes also on 2000 mg of keppra daily.  Thanks for any input!

Hi,

A little over a year ago I was on Lamictal.  It increased my seizures and also made me very sick to my stomach.  All I ever did was throw up and have an increase in seizures.  I am no longer on it.  I take Zonegran 350 mg, Keppra 3000 mg, and Depakote 1750 mg.  I also had the VNS implant last Oct.  Hope this helps a little.  Have a good day all. can anyone tell me if u have had skin rashes from it?? i stoped takeing trileptal and then they put me on lamictal and i am braking out again anyone know anything??

Hi! I am new here, but I can tell you that lamictal can cause rashes. My daughter is on this med. We have to always watch for rashes. especially around the mouth. Increases in your dosage should be done slowly for that very reason.
