seizures from sleep deprivation, is there anyone else?

im 19 and got my first seizure when i was about 15...i just found out i may have to take my meds for the rest of my life after having another one about 4 weeks ago while being weaned off of the meds. I would love to hear any comments or advice from anybody who has seizures, especially those caused by sleep deprivation.

Your son will not sleep on Keppra, my son is on Keppra..it keeps them wired. I give my son his medication at 6pm along with 100mg of B6...start him at 50 mg...or you can not wake him up(learned the hard way). The B6 helps him rest. When we first started KEppra he was up all night and had terrbile nightmares...alot better with B6.
Video games need to be played with the lights on.

Hi im Casey, my doctor said that my sizuers were possibly from sleep deprivation. but i dont know. well i hope you find out something soon and let me know K later

My son is 16, and had febrile seizures as a baby He has NOW had 3 seizures this summer, all from lack of sleep and playing video games. I can't stop him, and he won't listen. I have to watch him all the time, and I'm a wreck when I have to leave him alone. He failed in school, and lost his job because he is up all night and can't get up in the morning. He is a bright kid, but he is losing everything because he won't sleep at night. He is on keppra, and undergoing tests this month to determine the cause of the seizures, but if he doesn't begin to sleep at night, he'll never get his life back together.
