Need a Little Advice for TLE

Since being diagnosed with TLE, 1yr ago after a GMal, I have had what I now know as Complex Partial seizures for the past 2-3 yrs. For a long time I just thought I was having major Déjà vu type experiences. When I had an EEG and MRI they both showed nothing unusual. My confusion is that I have been told that I have Complex Partial Seizures but from reading info I understand that you generally lose consciousness and although I cannot speak nor really understand what is being said during the episode, I can gesture and am completely aware of my surroundings. Depending on the degree, I am sometimes confused afterwards for a bit. Anyone else with similar symptoms. I am on 1000 Keppra a.m. and p.m. and still can have 1-3 per day. Some days none. The neuro has suggested I up the meds by 500mg per day to try and control.

I too have TLE. My aura(simmple partial) starts with a rapid heartbeat and a funny feeling in my stomach. It sometimes progresses into a complex partial. I had a video EEG recently and had a complex partial seizure which was recorded by the EEG and video tape. I was aware of what was happening and alerted the Dr. when it began via a button you push when you think your having or going to have a seizure. When he came in and talked to me during the seizure he asked me many questions which I answered but I was confused. For example, he asked where I was at and I told him the wrong hospital and he asked who is president and I said Clinton. Even though I gave the wrong answers I still understood the questions. I did however not remember much of the conversation. My seizure lasted about 3 minutes. I hope this helps. Good luck
