memory loss...

so i know that everyone knows what im talking about if they can remember reading this :P i have a great memory unfortunately it is VERY SHORT!!! i can't remember anything. i forget a conversation while i am still having it. when im at work (and my job is to deal with the public) and i am giving directions to destinations or trying to make reservations i forget where they are wanting to go or the proper protocol for making the reservations. i also forget the simplest of words which then make me look like a fool because it looks like i don't know my job which i do. what on earth can i do to help this situation? its really quite frustrating. this is my rant... thank you for listening... or reading... or whatever.... :P

I have found out that it is the best thing to write down passwords or other things. This way, if you do forget them, you can have it as a reference. I called my neurologist's office today to ask about my test results. When the answer machine came on, I knew what I needed to ask, but I could not think of the words to say when I did get on the machine. Things like this and your problems is very embarrasing.

im 19 and ever since i have had my sizures about 6 months ago my memory is horendous. my friends keep telling me that i would tell them the same peice of information that i would of told them just a few hours ago. sometimes i catch myself but even then its just because im not sure if i had told them or not. is this because of the medication or just an after affect of the sizure. i did have memory loss after both seizures. first time i remember getting off an exit on the highway, then waking up in ambulance (supposably i crashed 20mins from the last spot i remember.) the second time i just remember locking my front door then waking up in the hospital.

Sounds just like me. I once had one but it ran away. I take dilantin. I tried depakote and was worse. A friend takes depakote and no problem for them. I joke to escape my embrar. I was saying I was having a blonde moment(I am) but once I looked up and the person was blonde with no humor. Now I say that I'm having a brain fart. People without Ep. seem to understand that to. My great one was I went to a laudery mat to wash. Got home saw I had no got them all. I could not remember where I had gone. When I told Les he just laughed and said I want to go shopping. I'm lucky to have him, because even though he does not have them he seems to understand Take care Kat
